figuring out t3h intarwebz

So, I spent a couple hours this morning trying to figure out the html that would allow me to change my links. My lovely best friend and I are now both contributers to a running blog about our craft endeavors and such, and I wanted to link it.

I have to confess, I'm kind of an internet junkie. For someone who spends as much time online as I do, it baffles me that I'm this stupid with code, layout, and useability of easy programs such as blogger.

I am really beginning to love my blogger account now that I'm figuring it out. Also, now that I'm figuring that out, I am reading many other people's blogs, mostly people who I admire for their crafting or their outrageous lives. I also use this to keep up with people I love who blog. I just added a link to My rockin' father in law's blog. He is a vessel assist captain out in the San Juans over the summers, instructs a Captain's course during the other times, and at all times is an outrageously funny and delightfully wicked man. I absolutely adore him, and miss him sorely on our visits to John's family.

Richard, if you're checking in on my blog, Teri was thinking of you the other day and showed be a supercool coffee gizmo/gadget that you would love! It's a superdurable plastic coffee pump with reusable fabric filters that makes a fantasic cup of coffee and looks so super cool! She told me I should get you one for the boat and send some good coffee out your way, and I think I may just do that sometime soon! I love and miss you!

I went out with a large group of friends for Amber's "Unbachelorette Party" last night at the Main Street Pub in Ferndale. So. Fucking. Fun. We went there for the Kareoke, and I sang Patsy Cline, Pat Benetar, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and the Commodores. (Yes, we all sang "BRICK HOUSE" and it was awesome.) I drank a bit too much but had a DD, so when I came home full of food and water to try to help the hangover, I thought I had preemptively headed it off at the pass. Nope. I woke up at 7 when John got up, with a feeling wobbly and fighting a headache. I am not going to be drinking the rest of this week. I have too much stuff to do.

A woman at the bar last night pointed out my purse and said she really liked it. I went over to talk to her and found out that she owns a boteique in Fairhaven called "4 Stars" and that she wants me to bring her a few of my bags to sell on commission and see how they go. I couldn't believe it! First on Saturday, Sarah Roche asked me if I would like to feature my things in the local show at the Wild Buffalo this Thursday. I need to bust ass today and tomorrow to get a good amount done. I also need business cards, and fast. That is the 3rd business person in the last 2 days that has asked me if I have a card. I am ashamed when they ask to say "No, sorry." Teri told me to go to Richard Hartnell's mom, and that she would do a really really good job. I will be looking into that this week.

Okay. I'm gonna go drink some more water to balance out the remainder of my hangover and get some Thriftstore shopping done.

Have a good day, peanuts!

Four Starrs is a fantastic boutique in F'haven. Alas, I can't afford things there, and I bet you could make some serious cashola.

Danielle, the owner, is seriously nice and fun and generally overall a wonderful person!

You Rock - don't forget my BD, a day after John's if the coffee gadget is reasonable.

Who's your daddy in law?

Richard, you crack me up.

John and I want to set out some time to come to the islands and see you before I go to New York. We'll take a look at the schedule and see what we can rustle up as time off and money to travel goes.

When you're home, you'll have to come back into town for a mocha or latte, and I have to have you eat CAJUN FOOD! We found a new restaurant you can fall down in and embarass us.
