Dear Diary,

Today was the first Mother's Day that applied to me. We had a really full day, with breakfast at the new greasy spoon in town, called Homeskillet. It's over in the Sunnyland neighborhood, where I really want to live. That area now has this delightful little diner, a brand new brewery with fantastic beer, the best pizza in town at Coconut Kenny's, Trader Joe's, and my close friends/surrogate family, the Bryant/Mastema clan. Some day, diary. Some day, we will find a way to be there.

(Bea and Me and Trish, waiting for our table)

After breakfast, we all went for a walk around Fairhaven, and played around in my favorite toystore for a while...

(Bea already had a hat, so we figured she didn't need one)

After doing some shopping, we walked to the Boardwalk along the water, towards Boulevard Park.

(John, Trish, and Amanda with Bea, along the Boardwalk)

Then we came home and John took a few quick pictures of me with Bea, to commemorate my very first Mother's Day as a mom to this beautiful little girl. This mom gig really is the best job EVAR.

(Thoughtful baby pose...)

(Fixated on the cherry tree...)

(NO, Bea, those aren't for nomming...)

All in all, pretty great day. Hope y'all had the chance to enjoy the sunshine outside today.
