Things are quiet, and I'm enjoying the peace in the house with a relish I usually reserve for hot baths and good books with some red wine.
I should be studying. I should be getting my Spanish worked on. I should be sewing.
Instead, I'm sitting in the corner of my couch with Dexter curled up on my arm and Noel keeping my feet warm, enjoying the fact that I'm the only person here right now.
It was supposed to be my day off with John. We need money, so when his work offered him a shift he took it. I was a bit disappointed this means we won't be getting our Christmas tree today, but again, money, so he's at work and I'm puttering. I loaded the dishwasher this morning, and I got to a have a 45 minute long conversation with my best friend. We usually connect on Fridays on the phone, since both of us have the day off, but this week we both called each other a few times a day, just usually not at times the other one could talk. It's bizarre, we've spent a couple years only seeing each other every other month or so, but now we're both feeling that distance and needing more time with each other. So, since we're both busy women, we take that time where we can get it and work time in for the rest of the things that are important and imperative to do.
As for me, I've really been enjoying my craft room lately. I have projects I need to get going on, but the small things are so much fun for me to work on! Minimum amount of cutting out required (cutting out is my least favorite part of sewing) quick turnaround time, maximum satisfaction for minimum time invested.
I need to sew some more re-usable coffee sleeves and get them down to the Drop, since 3 of my last 4 sold out in 2 days! I have some ideas I'd like to bounce off a few of my crafty friends for selling. I'll see.
My etsy.com site now has the product of my last week's craft burst listed.
I need an avatar and a banner image. Anyone wanna help me make one? I have no idea how....
I've got a bit of a headache. I think I'm going to drink some nice cold water and take a couple excederin and hope it dissapates.
